Started in Santa Cruz, California

Built by a surfer from the East Side of Santa Cruz.

I grew up surfing the East Side of Santa Cruz. Pleasure Point, the Hook, cold mornings, crowded lineups and the best people in the water. Surfing is a huge part of who I am, and I have so much love for this sport and the community around it.

But finding a board I actually loved was always a grind. The right board was out there somewhere: on a shop rack across town, in a shaper's bay, in a post that sold an hour before I saw it. You had to know where to look, and most of the time I didn't.

So I built Surf Trader. One place to find boards from local shops, shapers, manufacturers and surfers, searchable by the things that matter: length, width, thickness, volume, condition and how far you're willing to drive.

It's just as much about the people selling boards. Surf shops and shapers are the heart of every surf town, and I want to help them sell faster and get their boards to the surfers who'll love them. Same for anyone selling a board out of their garage.

Surf Trader doesn't sell boards or take a cut. We connect you with the people who make and sell them, and you deal with each other directly, the way surfers always have.

See you in the water.
